What is an Estate?

Your belongings and assets cannot go with you after you’re gone. Estate Planning gives you the control to decide what happens to them. Everything from bank accounts and investments to real estate, cars, and even your favorite jewelry make up your assets and need to be distributed the way YOU want them to be.

What is Probate?

Probate is the official process of validating a Will. This includes ensuring that the deceased person’s Will is, in fact, valid. An inventory of the deceased’s property must be taken, as well as having the property appraised, paying any debts and taxes, and distributing the remainder of the assets in accordance with the Will or the state law in the event there is not a Will.
